About JOHN BRUGGMAN
John Bruggman is a graduate of Batavia High School and is currently an Illustration major at Daemen College. He is known for his fantasy, horror and portrait artwork.
In 2019, he was a winner at the 27th Congressional District Art Awards and his portrait was displayed at the Congressional Office. Also in 2019, John won the award for Medical Illustration at The Rochester Institute of Technology Annual Art Show. In 2021, John was awarded the Dr. Jeanne File OSF Award at Daemen College for his artwork and dedication to the field. His artwork is influenced by such artists as Simon Bisley, Frank Frazetta, Bill Sienkiewicz and Glenn Fabry. In 2021, John first store exclusive cover was approved by Aftershock Comics. On May 11th, Bunny Mask: The Hollow Inside #1 was released. John's cover was published with a limited print run of 200 color trade dress editions and 100 black and white virgin editions. After the approval from Aftershock comics, John submitted to Image Comics for another store exclusive variant. On March 16th, Slumber #1 was released. John's cover was published with a limited print run of 500 issues. |
